About Dávid Vitézy
Dávid Vitézy achieved great reputation in Hungary for his passionate and highly successful job to transform Budapest's mass transportation from a legendary mess to a European best practice. He managed to make the Centre for Budapest Transport (BKK) a 'love brand' - a quite rare example among public service providers.
Under his leadership, the BKK has increased its annual fare revenues by 20%, opened state-of-the-art customer service centres and launched the public bike-sharing scheme. Mr. Dávid Vitézy managed to implement the FUTÁR app, an online journey planner application, available also for smartphones and tablets. This application gives passengers detailed information on schedules of each stop and also is able to show the real-time position of the public transportation vehicles in operation. FUTÁR app offers both the “door to door” trip planner service and also the accessible route options.
