About Gergely Böszörményi Nagy

After graduating from Budapest Corvinus University with an M.A. in International Relations, Gergely Böszörményi Nagy worked as a strategist for many corporate, political, and non-profit campaigns in Budapest and Washington, D.C. He can now boast of a long list of accomplishments. One of the more spectacular ones is perhaps the mind-blowingly long title of the Deputy Head of the Department for Strategic Communication at the State Secretariat for Government Communications, which he received in 2010 and which made him responsible for creating a coherent and unified brand for Hungary.

He is currently working as the Director of Design Terminal – a Budapest-based state agency responsible for the stimulation of the creative industries. Its main aim is to help these fields of the creative sector which possess demonstrable potential and which can contribute to the general functioning and positive perception of the country. These fields, defined in 2012, encompass innovative technologies, industrial design, the fashion industry and fashion design, and urbanism and urban planning sectors. Such a strong emphasis on the promotion of the creative sector fits perfectly with the current European Commission’s strategies of development. The innovative nature of the projects supported by Mr. Böszörményi Nagy’s Design Terminal makes it one of the most important organizations of that type in Central Europe.
