About Petra Dzurovčinová
Petra Dzurovčinová was born and bred as an entrepreneur, whose passion lies in finding smart solutions to existing problems. Ms. Dzurovčinová has lead and grown the Slovak Alliance for the Internet Economy (SAPIE) since its inception in 2014. SAPIE acts as an industry body for innovative companies throughout Slovakia, creates regional and EU-wide partnerships, promotes entrepreneurship and connects the private and public sphere. As part of her role she works with government representatives as well as the office representing the President of Slovakia. She further works with the innovation ecosystem in Slovakia and prepares papers and recommendations for policies that help improve the digital economy in Slovakia.
Petra Dzurovčinová previously worked for the Royal Institution of Australia in Adelaide, as their Digital Communications Manager. She helped set up and manage strategies for the online communications of this newly created organisation. She was also active in the TEDx community, being one of the organisers of the first TEDxBratislava as well as curator and licensee of TEDxAdelaideWomen and TEDxAdelaideChange. She studied International Business at the University of Economics in Slovakia, and has also studied in France and Korea.
